EU to extend approvals for 5 AIs

  The European Commission recently proposed to extend approval periods of five active ingredients for one year to provide sufficient time to complete their renewal procedures. They are: herbicide clopyralid, fungicides cyprodinil, fosetyl, and pyrimethanil, and plant growth regulator trinexapac. The five ais approvals were due to expire on 30 April 2017. The European Commission proposed to extend all the expiry dates to 30 April 2018.The amendment shall enter into force after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
